Oh, How I Love the Knitty-Stitchy Show!

As dawn broke on Sunday morning (well, it was 8 am, but it felt like dawn) our little mini-bus drove out of town and off to Harrogate for the Knitting and Stitching Show.  Excited ladies began knitting and crocheting the moment we turned the corner, unable to wait any longer.  I managed to crochet half a baby's knicker by the time we arrived and joined 59 million ladies and 5 blokes in the International Conference Centre.

Here is my little montage of the day:
Big pins!  I bought one of the peg looms on the right, a nine-holer.  Can't wait to get weaving!
This board stood in the doorway of the Traid and Upcycling section.  Horrendous factoids...
 Yay, peg looming!
A pile of old clothes, deconstructed and being upcycled on a round loom.
An example of an old T-shirt given a new lease of life with embellishments
Crazy knitting, including fab red dress.
Ladies who Lunch (where they can!)  I was in my own little space behind a door.
 Knitting Dudes!  Great to see.

Afternoon tea was taken at 4 pm at Betty's Tea Rooms.  How very civilised!

 Mine, all mine - mwah-hah-hah!
Our little party, still neat and polite before we launched into the provender with gusto.
Christmas is coming ... and we'll all be getting fat on this kind of fayre.
So very British

A Good Yarn goes from strength to strength, I'm pleased to say.  Kate is having difficulty finding enough room for all the glorious things in the shop.  Just drool over these lovely wools:

The knitting group all made a little something for the Christmas Crib scene.  My contribution was the Green King (typical that I chose the one that sounds like a brewery!)

Next thing will be lots of hearts for St Valentine's, I guess.
